Surgical Technologist - $24-29 per hour

Tenet North Cal is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a job in Yucca Valley, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Staff Shift: Days 7am-3:30pm Mon, Tues, Thurs or Mon-Fri 5-6 HRS Per Day Will be on Call 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month Job type: Full Time Position Summary Assists with patient care in a Surgery environment. 1. Knowledge of basic surgical practices and techniques including asepsis. Able to perform procedures in a sterile manner. 2. Demonstrates proficiency in scrubbing. Passes instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeon and assistants as needed, and places all tubing and cords so they are secure, and convenient for the surgeon. 3. Ability to assemble all equipment used during procedures. 4. Knowledgeable of the cleaning and sterilizing procedures of all surgical instruments. Able to perform cleaning and sterilizing procedures on all instruments and equipment. . 5. Demonstrates ability to communicate and work effectively with other members of the surgical team.
