Radiology Technologist in Ypsilanti, MI

Providing advanced computerized tomographic (CT) imaging services, this role involves performing detailed radiological procedures to assist in accurate patient diagnosis. The position requires a dedicated professional skilled in radiology technology with an emphasis on CT scans, supporting general diagnostic radiology as needed, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each procedure. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients by explaining examination procedures and reviewing clinical data to determine appropriate imaging protocols. Set up and maintain the procedure room, including replenishing supplies and ensuring equipment readiness. Operate CT equipment manually to capture high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting settings to minimize radiation exposure while adhering to ALARA principles. Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors; monitor and respond promptly to patient reactions. Assist radiologists during complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies. Manage imaging quality assurance, including resolving image exceptions in PACS and completing study indexing in RIS. Document all procedures thoroughly in medical records and radiology information systems to support clinical and billing requirements. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized training or experience in CT imaging.
