Our Treatment / Wound Care Nurse plays a critical role in maintaining skin integrity, reducing pressure injuries, and ensuring best-practice wound management. Position Overview Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing, the Treatment / Wound Care Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing and implementing all skin care and wound treatment services under the medical supervision of attending physicians and/or the facility Medical Director. This role emphasizes prevention, compliance, assessment accuracy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all direct wound care activities to ensure consistency and compliance Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care interventions Manage and treat specific skin disorders within established wound care protocols Coordinate and lead weekly skin rounds Perform detailed assessment evaluations through observation and inspection Collaborate with the Care Planning Team to develop and update resident care plans Monitor preventive measures such as turning, positioning, and routine inspections Precept new nurses and demonstrate wound care procedures Order and track wound care supplies and equipment Modify treatment regimens in accordance with medical practices and regulatory guidelines Educate residents and caregivers on prevention techniques and skin health Qualifications: Current /Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred Wound care or treatment certification preferred (facility will certify the right candidate) Strong assessment and documentation skills Knowledge of regulatory guidelines related to long-term care Benefits Snapshot: Competitive wages Elite Low-Cost Gold Plan Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance (low premiums & deductibles) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Best-in-class employee referral program If you are an RN looking to specialize in wound prevention and treatment while playing a key role in clinical quality, we would love to meet you.
