NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Waco, TX clinic. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with clinical best practices in an urgent care and/or occupational health settingProvide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care aligned with NextCare s mission and valuesIndependently manage patients in a solo-provider clinic modelDevelop and clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps to patientsAccurately document care in the electronic health record (EHR)Take personal responsibility for appropriate coding and billing of services renderedPractice medicine in a legal, ethical, and professional mannerMaintain clinical productivity consistent with peers and industry standardsFollow up on patient care as clinically indicated Schedule & Clinic Hours This is a full-time position with a structured schedule in a high-volume urgent care setting. The clinic operates seven days per week with the following hours:Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 8:00 PMSaturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PMFull-time providers typically work three 12-hour shifts per week, with schedules built in advance to support work-life balance while ensuring appropriate clinic coverage. Providers should expect rotating weekend and holiday shifts, shared equitably among the provider team based on clinic needs.
