Job Summary: Lead and manage the Engineering, Maintenance, Security, and Groundskeeping departments to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and effectively. Oversee departmental resources with a focus on operational excellence and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate maintenance, security, and groundskeeping programs in collaboration with other departments. Develop and update job descriptions, work procedures, and performance schedules for the division. Interpret organizational policies and objectives, ensuring alignment within the division. Identify tasks beyond the scope of maintenance staff and coordinate accordingly. Engage in conferences and manage contracts with external agencies providing maintenance or security services. Estimate repair costs and prioritize repair and installation projects. Oversee equipment installation and interpret technical blueprints and specifications. Advise senior leadership on future maintenance and groundskeeping needs, including organizational structure and function. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations related to construction, maintenance, and replacement. Manage emergency repairs, remodeling, and review new construction projects. Ensure adequate staffing with competent personnel, including hiring, promotions, and defining roles and responsibilities. Make final determinations on equipment functionality and safety. Develop and implement in-service training programs for maintenance and groundskeeping teams. Approve supply orders and requisitions for replacement parts. Represent the division on various organizational committees as needed. Maintain firefighting equipment and ensure its readiness. Stay informed on industry developments and lead initiatives to improve systems and methods within the division. Foster effective communication and strong working relationships within the division and across departments. Maintain 24-hour accountability for department operations. Develop, administer, and evaluate department goals, policies, and procedures consistent with organizational standards. Manage fiscal responsibilities including operating expenses, human resources, capital expenditures, and revenue maximization. Ensure staff competency through performance appraisals, continuing education, disciplinary actions, orientation, and professional development. Lead performance improvement initiatives fostering a culture of continuous enhancement and hospitality. Promote a safe working environment by adhering to infection control, hazardous materials management, disaster/fire safety, and general safety policies. Communicate effectively and promptly with customers, staff, administration, and medical personnel through various channels. Support community engagement through participation in local events and activities. Education and Experience: Minimum of a two-year certification in Engineering; a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. At least five years of relevant experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory role. Strong technical background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, electronics, and heating and steam-fitting operations. Work Shift: First shift, 40 hours per week. Location: Regional facility in the Midwest United States.
