HR Generalist (Operations Focus)Location: Woodruff, SC Department: Human Resources Reports to: Global HR Director About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Generalist with strong operational expertise to support and enhance our HR function. This role will serve as a key resource across the employee lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on onboarding excellence, HR systems (HRIS) ownership, and process improvement, along with occasional support for payroll activities (this is not a primary payroll role)The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings structure to ambiguity, and is passionate about creating efficient, scalable HR processes while delivering a strong employee experience. Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding & Employee Experience (Core Focus)Own and continuously improve the end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging new hire process Manage onboarding logistics, documentation, system setup, and new hire communications Partner with managers to ensure successful employee integration and early-stage engagement Oversee offboarding and employee transitions with a focus on compliance and experience HR Operations & HRIS OwnershipServe as the primary administrator for HRIS (e.g., ADP Workforce Now), ensuring data accuracy, system optimization, and reporting capability Maintain employee data integrity and manage all employment changes (status updates, transfers, etc.) Troubleshoot system issues and lead enhancements, upgrades, or implementations Generate HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making Payroll Coordination (Support Role)Provide occasional support to the Payroll Specialist/HR Manager in payroll processing activities as needed Ensure accurate and timely employee data updates within HRIS (e.g., ADP) to support payroll accuracy Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and issue resolution on an as-needed basis Serve as a secondary resource for payroll-related inquiries, helping route or resolve questions when appropriate Support documentation and data validation efforts tied to payroll cycles, without direct ownership of payroll processing Process Improvement & HR ProjectsEvaluate, document, and improve HR processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and consistencyLead or support HR projects such as: HRIS enhancements or implementations Workflow automation Policy updates and standardization Identify gaps and implement best practices across HR operations Compliance & HR AdministrationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, I-9, etc.) Maintain accurate and compliant employee records Support audits and required reporting Assist with immigration coordination as needed Cross-Functional SupportPartner with HRBPs, Finance, and leadership to support business needs Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, systems, and processes Support benefits administration, compensation cycles, and HR communications QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field 4-6+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Operations roleStrong experience with: Onboarding and employee lifecycle managementHRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)Exposure to payroll coordination/support (not primary ownership)Demonstrated success in process improvement and systems optimizationStrong analytical skills (Excel/reporting/dashboarding) High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information Preferred:HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) Experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced growth environment Exposure to multi-state or global HR operations Mandarin or Spanish language skills DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this job.
