Job Title: Certified NJ Lifeguard/ Shallow Water Location: Woodbine, NJ, 08270 Pay Rate: $36.46/hr. without benefits Duration: 3+ months Interview Mode : In PersonJob Description: Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s): Yes Computer software to be used: Word Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Applicants must possess a current NJ Lifeguard or Shallow Water certification. Duties to include but not limited to providing lifeguard supervision in a pool setting. The population swimming in the pool are individuals with intellectual disability and may require in-water swimming assistance. Additional facility direct care staff will be in the vicinity to assist as needed. Small groups of individuals will attend at a time. Role & Responsibilities: Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Communicate and enforce all CRS and pool policies and rules in a personable and professional manner. Dress and appearance are consistent with SRWC standards including wearing your swimsuit, guard shirt, whistle and tube while on duty. Conduct pool inspections and complete pool chemical logs and report imbalances or concerns to the supervisor. Record daily participation numbers and complete daily cleaning assignments. Attend and participate in regular in-service trainings. Provide a welcoming environment for all patrons. Document any incidents and/or injuries. Maintain a clean and tidy work space Perform other duties as assigned. Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours. Regularly treat the pool with the correct amount of chemicals Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area, identifying any safety issues throughout shift Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe.
