Position SummaryThe Design Engineer is responsible for the design and support of fans, controls, and mounting equipment. They will deliver complete design and drawing packages to sourcing and manufacturing. The Design Engineer will complete routine engineering work and oversee multiple engineering projects.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Design fan components, controls, and mounting equipmentManage bills of materials for products and ensure that all systems alignDevelop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, cost, and manufacturability Provide digital drawing images for use in technical documents and marketing materialsConfirm equipment capabilities by designing effective testing methodsValidate designs utilizing FEASupport production during new product start-upEvaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, products, components, and applicationsDesign fan system lay-outs for customers and Sales DepartmentCorrespond with Supply Chain for product procurementContribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as neededQualifications· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field · 3-5 Years experience· Fluent in 2D CAD and 3D CAD · Ability to coordinate, monitor, and manage multiple projects · General knowledge of sheet metal, welding, machining, and other fabrication processes· Familiar with dimensioning and tolerancing practices· Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Fluent in Microsoft Office Success Factors and Job CompetenciesThe success of the person in this position is in direct correlation to their ability to live out SonicAire's Core Values at all times:HumbleGreat team players lack excessive ego or concerns about status.
