Position Type: Substitute/Substitute Paraprofessional Date Posted: 11/21/2025 Location: HVED - Winona Mall Date Available: 01/05/2026 Closing Date: Ongoing posting Substitute Paraprofessionals - All Programs Description: Hiawatha Valley Education District is seeking on-call Substitute Paraprofessionals for all of our programs Paraprofessional Job Summary: Assisting teachers in their teaching duties and other general responsibilities Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher Monitors special education students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment Paraprofessional Qualifications: Must meet highly qualified criteria: Associates Degree or higher degree, or meets Minnesota Certified ParaPro Assessment Experience working with students/children preferred Working Conditions: Office, lifting, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
