Student Worker Position The Student Worker provides front-line academic and technical support to students, faculty, and staff at the Winnemucca Center. Qualifications: Must be a current student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and must be meeting satisfactory academic progress. Must have a 2025-2026 FAFSA on file to determine eligibility must qualify for work study through Student Financial Services Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining academic integrity. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, etc.) preferred. Ability to learn and operate office and educational technology equipment. Professional, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist students with computer access, login procedures, and use of campus systems (e.g., course platforms, student forms). Answer phones and provide general assistance to students, directing them to the appropriate departments or services. Proctor exams for Great Basin College and external institutions while maintaining strict confidentiality and security protocols. Operate general office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines. Assist faculty with copying, scanning, and printing course materials, to support various education programs. Support Zoom course delivery as needed, including setup, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting. Help schedule academic advising appointments, testing sessions, and other student services. Monitor computer lab equipment (printers, peripherals) and ensure supplies are restocked. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional study and testing environment. Salary: $13.00 per hour Hours: Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month. This posting is open until filled. Students are encouraged to apply immediately.
