Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,457 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity - Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse - North Carolina Start Date: March 30, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; charge role required for night travelers Highlights: Adult and geriatric general medical/surgical patient population with daily census of approximately 43 patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7 on night shift Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management 13-26 week contract lengths available 24-hour orientation program with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Opportunity to serve in charge nurse capacity and gain leadership experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at start date) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Epic charting system experience required Competency with insulin and heparin drips mandatory Experience with high flow oxygen, wound vac dressing changes, and isolation precautions Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Willingness to work holidays (must work 2 out of 3 major holidays) Availability to serve on inclement weather/storm team as assigned Comfortable floating to similar units and alternate care locations based on census needs Charge nurse experience and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a well-supported medical/surgical environment with a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to quality patient care.
