Healing for Us All The ABHS AmeriCorps Program engages members in service roles that strengthen community wellness, cultural continuity, environmental stewardship, and youth development across the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Prevention-focused members expand access to outreach, campaigns, and healing-centered events addressing suicide prevention, MMIP awareness, and trauma-informed care. Their work increases health knowledge, promotes healing practices, and creates safe spaces for connection. Member Duties : Assist with planning, coordinating, and delivering culturally relevant wellness events, prevention campaigns, and healing-centered outreach activities. Collaborate with elders, community leaders, youth programs, and behavioral health staff to promote suicide prevention, MMIP awareness, trauma education, and pathways to healing. Distribute prevention materials and support peer-connection spaces during community gatherings, forums, and outreach events. Provide wellness-focused events or outreach to 500 unduplicated community members. Collect surveys from 200 community members to measure changes in health knowledge and awareness related to suicide prevention, MMIP, trauma, and wellness.
