Systems Reliability & Integration Engineer

We are seeking a high-caliber Systems Reliability & Integration Engineer to manage acomplex, high-concurrency Linux infrastructure. This role is designed for a dedicatedtroubleshooter who enjoys the "detective work" of system administration. You will ensure thestability of a fleet of Ubuntu and RHEL servers supporting thousands of concurrent remotesessions, while managing the critical data feeds and application environments that keep ourbusiness moving.Core ResponsibilitiesHigh-Density Systems & Infrastructure? Fleet Management: Maintain and optimize a mixed environment of Ubuntu and RHELservers, ensuring high availability for thousands of concurrent user connections.? Connectivity Orchestration: Manage the secure handoff between RDP gateways andbackend SSH environments.? Traffic Management: Configure and tune Nginx as a high-performance reverse proxyand load balancer to handle peak traffic loads.? Kernel & Network Tuning: Proactively monitor and tune the Linux networking stack(TCP/IP limits, file descriptors, and socket buffers) to prevent bottlenecks in ahigh-density session environment.Collaborative Lifecycle Management? Stakeholder Alignment: Actively participate in technical syncs with Project Managersand Developers to represent infrastructure interests during the product roadmap phase.? Release Governance: Consult on the deployment of updates and hotfixes, ensuringthat Best Practices are followed to minimize user impact.? Feedback Loop: Provide developers with production-level telemetry to help themoptimize code before it reaches the fleet.Production Application Support? Post-Deployment Engineering: Troubleshoot .NET Core applications and bottlenecks.? Runtime Diagnostics: Troubleshoot application crashes, memory pressure, andthreading issues within the Linux environment to ensure software performs reliably atscale.Data Integration & ETL Management? Inbound Processing: Manage and troubleshoot data ingestion from multiple externalsystems.? Outbound Replication: Monitor and maintain data feed replication from Linux-basedsystems to Microsoft SQL Server environments.? Feed Reliability: Monitor and maintain the integrity of automated ETL scripts, ensuringdata lands accurately and on time across heterogeneous systems.Critical Service & Messaging Operations? Communication Flows: Manage Postfix mail queues for transactional messaging andinternal relays.? Print Management: Support enterprise-scale printing via CUPS, troubleshooting driverconflicts and spooling issues across a distributed network.Security, Hardening & Modernization? System Hardening: Apply security best practices to both Ubuntu and RHEL fleets,utilizing SELinux, AppArmor, and firewall configurations to ensure a "Defense in Depth"posture.? Access Control: Harden SSH configurations and entry points to protect against lateralmovement.? Automation Roadmap: Contribute to the transition from manual administration toAnsible.
