They will be part of the maintenance staff, maintaining records, keeping Woodward's renowned facilities operating at a high level. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks across the property ensuring the campus remains clean, safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests. These vital tasks may include landscaping, cleaning, removing trash, and performing maintenance on a wide array of features at our facilities. What's In It For You? Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate light equipment (Weed Eaters) Operate vehicles including: pick-up trucks, Kubota side by side and trailer, and golf carts Clean and maintain tools and mechanical equipment Pick up litter, trash and leaves Respond to emergency calls Perform painting duties, sand, caulk, prime and paint Perform groundskeeping tasks such as: weed eating, mowing grass, and landscaping Perform snow removal Perform minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry work Operate a pressure washer Put up and remove seasonal awnings Repair vandalism Operate small hand and power tools Operate a variety of air tools Assume custodian's duties Assist with guest requests and needs in a timely manner Conduct routine maintenance and safety facility inspections Other duties as assigned. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability Strong attention to detail Comfortable handling confidential information Successful working in an independent and team environment Qualifications Required Qualifications: 2+ of years' experience in general maintenance techniques OSHA certified on applicable equipment Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces Well versed in electric, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and fleet maintenance Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team 5+ of years' experience in general maintenance techniques OSHA certified on applicable equipment Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces Well versed in electric, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and fleet maintenance Demonstrate broad technical knowledge of management techniques Provide work related references upon request Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting Preferred Qualifications: Driver's license preferred Pre-requisites Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work: Mandated Reporter Training Certificate Safesport Training Certificate Physical and Environmental Requirements Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment. Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
