Job Description We are seeking a Sanitation Associate (Industrial Food Manufacturing) to join our team at the LOL Hicksville facility. The role focuses on disassembly, detailed cleaning, and reassembly of food-processing equipment and piping that convey products such as pudding from kettles to filling machines. The work requires mechanical aptitude, adherence to SSOPs, and safe chemical handling to achieve validated sanitation outcomes verified by Quality Assurance swabbing. Responsibilities: Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble kettles, lines, and associated equipment per SSOPs. Manually scrub kettles using approved chemicals, tools, and power washers; meet expected clean time of about 60-75 minutes per kettle once trained. Handle chemicals per labeling, dilution requirements, and MSDS guidance; wear and maintain required PPE. Support CIP processes and milk silo cleaning as applicable; follow quality verification steps with QA. Complete master sanitation schedules and daily documentation accurately in paper or electronic systems. Respond to sanitation-related emergencies and support coverage for departmental absences as needed. Provide peer training or technical direction to other sanitation associates when assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude to safely dismantle and reassemble food-processing equipment and valves. Ability to read and follow written and oral sanitation procedures and SSOPs; MSDS knowledgeable. Competence with chemical handling, dilution factors, and PPE usage; commitment to safety training. Fluent in reading and writing English or Spanish for onsite safety requirements. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with CIP operations and milk silo cleaning. Experience in food or beverage production environments with QA swab verification. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Standing for the entire shift; regular lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures and production noise throughout the shift. Required PPE includes steel-toe shoes, protective boots, and other assigned gear. Schedule & Hiring Process: Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m., and Saturdays, 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Hours subject to business needs. Weekends may be included. Interview: Virtual.
