Unarmed Security Officer - Energy Services

POSITION SUMMARY Join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our high-profile site. Under the guidance of the Site Manager, you will engage in a variety of security-related activities, ensuring the protection and well-being of client property, visitors, and personnel. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access to the facility, observing and reporting on site activities, and responding to various incidents to uphold order and safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Control access to the site and ensure unauthorized personnel are precluded from entering. Provide a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors, emphasizing courtesy and professionalism. Effectively communicate and respond to inquiries from visitors while providing site-related information. Monitor entrances and exits diligently, ensuring proper control of people and vehicle movement. Patrol the assigned area, checking for unsafe conditions and unauthorized personnel. In case of incidents, protect evidence and direct appropriate responses. Maintain accurate logs and reports concerning site activities and incidents. Report any suspicious activities to appropriate personnel and authorities. Respond appropriately to emergencies including fire, medical situations, and hazardous materials incidents. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY US Citizenship preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED is required. Experience in physical security, law enforcement, or military service is beneficial. COMPETENCIES Must meet relevant state and municipal licensing requirements. Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations. Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear reports and logs. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite. WORKING CONDITIONS This role may involve varying physical demands, including walking, standing, and possible overtime work. Staff may encounter stressful situations and must maintain composure. May require use of vehicles and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
