Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: West Columbia, SCHire Type: Contract to HireShift: 1st ShiftPay: $35/hr-$42/hr, depending on experienceBenefits: Insurance (Health, Medical, Dental), PTO, and more!We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations in a newly expanded manufacturing environment focused on Power Distribution Units (PDUs), DataBar systems, and cable assemblies. This is a hands-on manufacturing floor role centered on process development, production support, and continuous improvement "” not a product design position. Ideal candidates will have strong manufacturing experience, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced production environment.Job Duties:Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing productsCreate and maintain assembly instructions, process documentation, and work proceduresAnalyze workflow, labor utilization, and equipment layout to maximize efficiencySupport new product introductions by identifying opportunities for process optimizationServe as the first point of escalation for manufacturing and assembly-related issues on the production floorTroubleshoot assembly problems and implement corrective actions alongside production teamsCollaborate with Materials, Quality, Test Engineering, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challengesMonitor product quality and manufacturing performance to ensure compliance with specifications and standardsEstimate production times, staffing requirements, and operational costs for management planningSupport continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and workflow enhancementsTrain and support production personnel on manufacturing processes and best practicesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferredAssociate degree with 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience5+ years of hands-on manufacturing or engineering support experience without a degreeStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Basic familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) for viewing and interpreting drawingsStrong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processesDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environmentExperience with process improvements, workflow optimization, and lean manufacturingQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
