This position is responsible for making necessary decisions and resolving problems associated with patient care. Job Announcement Flyer: St. Croix Dentist Job Description Aug 2025.pdf [pdf - 173.39 KB] Duties: Job Duties and Responsibilities:•Provides dental health services to designated population in accordance with Indian Health Service and St. Croix Tribal Health Clinic Policies.•Provides the Dental Director with information assistance in development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Tribal dental program.•Ability to work effectively with others for timely job completion.•Is responsible for supervision of facility dental staff when Dental Director is not present.•Is responsible for implementation of facility dental activities in accordance with the Tribal dental program.•Is advisor to the Dental Director on all matter pertaining to oral health.•Administer anesthetics in keeping patient comfortable during procedures.•Is responsible for acknowledgement of communications and submission of required reports.•Uses masks, gloves and safety glasses for protection of infectious diseases, and reports any incidents of infection standards.•Examines teeth, and gums using the necessary dental equipment, x-rays to evaluate, or other instruments to diagnose and plan the correct treatment plan for patient.•Writes prescriptions for required medication for patient.•Treats disease of salivary glands and their ducts.•Performs dental care for patients with behavioral problems. Informs patients about good dental health practices. Qualifications: Qualifications:•DDS or DMD from an accredited Dental program. Must submit copy of degree or transcripts.•Current active WI License to practice Dentistry.•Valid Driver's License•Must be able to pass background check•Ability to write treatment plans.•Must submit to an Alcohol/Drug screen test•Must be responsible and dependable.
