Task Project Manager II (Nuclear) Experience Level: 5-10 Years Industry: Nuclear Power / Utilities Client- Southern Nuclear Location- Waynesboro, GA Contract- 1Year Position Summary The Task Project Manager II is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and ensuring the proper execution of assigned work scopes within a nuclear power plant environment. This role ensures all work is performed in accordance with contract requirements, site procedures, safety standards, and oversight expectations. The Task Project Manager provides daily field oversight, verifies contractor qualifications, tracks progress, coordinates resources, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with plant standards. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee assigned project tasks to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, site procedures, and nuclear safety standards Verify contractor and worker qualifications, ensuring personnel meet site and regulatory requirements Communicate work expectations clearly to contractors and stakeholders Perform regular field observations, reviewing results to identify trends, issues, or corrective actions Conduct daily review of contractor time sheets for accuracy and compliance Track project progress against schedules and milestones Coordinate resources, materials, and field activities to support timely execution Ensure compliance with plant standards, safety regulations, and oversight expectations Support issue resolution and escalate concerns when necessary Obtain and maintain all required site qualifications and access Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Project management experience with general construction knowledge Background in a related discipline such as electrical or mechanical 5-10 years of experience managing tasks and projects in a nuclear power plant environment Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture, contractor oversight, and field execution Physical Requirements Ability to perform substantial walking and standing Ability to climb ladders and navigate uneven surfaces Capability to work safely in active plant and construction environments Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with nuclear contractors and outage-related work Familiarity with nuclear site work management, safety, and compliance processes Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Work Environment Field-based role within a nuclear power plant Frequent interaction with contractors, field personnel, and plant leadership Emphasis on safety, compliance, and operational excellence
