Staff Pharmacist | Waverly, New York

A full-time Pharmacist position is available at a retail pharmacy location in Elmira, NY. This direct hire role offers a well-structured schedule and the opportunity to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a supportive environment. Location: Elmira, NY Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Total of 36 hours bi-weekly Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demands and optimize profits. Accurately weigh, measure, and mix pharmaceutical compounds, fill prescriptions, and dispense over-the-counter medications. Provide guidance to self-medicating patients while maintaining effective communication with healthcare and insurance professionals. Administer patient immunizations regularly as part of pharmacy services. Serve as acting pharmacy manager when needed by scheduling pharmacy staff, managing performance, addressing disciplinary issues, and assigning work duties to meet company goals. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Current and valid New York State Pharmacist License. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and dispensing procedures. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and professional collaboration. Leadership skills to supervise pharmacy associates as necessary.
