About the CompanyOur manufacturing client is seeking a Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing and supply chain activities on a contract basis, with the potential to convert to a full-time role. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and components are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost and supplier performance expectations.About the RoleThis position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and components are available to support production schedules while maintaining cost and supplier performance expectations.ResponsibilitiesExecute purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and indirect spendCreate, manage, and track purchase orders within the ERP/MRP systemMonitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing activities to align with demandCommunicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and delivery commitmentsAddress delivery issues, shortages, quality concerns, and invoice discrepanciesPartner with Planning, Production, and Operations teams to support manufacturing needsMaintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentationAssist with sourcing, cost-reduction, and process improvement initiatives as neededQualifications2+ years of Buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience working within an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Plex, or similar)Solid understanding of procurement processes and inventory managementProficiency in Excel and basic reportingStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsRequired Skills2+ years of Buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience working within an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Plex, or similar)Solid understanding of procurement processes and inventory managementProficiency in Excel and basic reportingStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsPreferred SkillsImmediate impact opportunity supporting active manufacturing operationsExposure to cross-functional teams and supply chain decision-makingPotential path to permanent employment based on performance and business needsPay range and compensation packageNot specified in the provided job description.Equal Opportunity StatementOur company is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
