Retail Staff Pharmacist - Watsonville, CA

An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist with retail experience to provide pharmacy services during night shifts at a community hospital with an outpatient pharmacy. This 250-bed facility features a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment requiring a dedicated professional to manage overnight operations as the sole pharmacist on site, supported by a pharmacy technician. Responsibilities: Manage and dispense medications for inpatients and outpatient retail pharmacy customers during night shifts Utilize the PioneerRX pharmacy system extensively; EPIC experience is a plus Ensure accurate prescription processing, patient counseling, and medication safety throughout the shift Collaborate with healthcare staff as needed to support patient care overnight Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid California Pharmacist license Experience working in retail pharmacy settings Proficiency with PioneerRX pharmacy software is required; EPIC experience highly preferred Availability to work full-time night shifts exclusively Comfortable working independently as the only pharmacist on duty during nights Schedule: 7 consecutive nights on, 7 nights off, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM Assignment Details: Contract duration of approximately 13 weeks Immediate start available This position offers a unique chance to leverage specialized skills in a less typical pharmacy shift, making a vital impact on patient care in the overnight hours.
