Develop and coordinate an activities program for the community that reflects the varied interests of the residents and provides them with meaningful and enriching activities. Your Mission as Life Enrichment Director As the Life Enrichment Director, you'll design and oversee a vibrant, engaging activities program that enhances residents' quality of life and reflects Legacy's values of honor, faith, and integrity. Through creativity, compassion, and leadership, you'll ensure that every resident feels seen, included, and inspired to live fully. Your leadership helps transform daily life into a tapestry of fellowship, fulfillment, and fun. What You'll Lead Activities Programming * Develop and implement a comprehensive, person-centered activities program that meets the social, spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of all residents. * Create and distribute a monthly activities calendar that reflects resident interests, holidays, and special events. * Coordinate and conduct activities, outings, and celebrations, ensuring a diverse and engaging schedule. * Utilize community resources and entertainers to enhance programming and build community partnerships. * Plan and lead holiday events, family gatherings, and themed celebrations that foster connection and joy. * Encourage residents to participate in activities and provide individualized support to those who need extra assistance or motivation. * Organize and oversee transportation for community outings, occasionally serving as driver when needed. * Provide opportunities for residents to contribute through volunteerism and community service projects. * Maintain an adequate supply of equipment and materials for activities, keeping within budget guidelines. * Collaborate with other department heads to integrate activities with dining, wellness, and spiritual programs. * Host regular resident council or feedback meetings to ensure programs reflect resident interests and suggestions. * Document participation and outcomes to support quality programming and compliance with state regulations. * Carry out other duties as assigned, including on-call responsibilities as needed. Volunteer Recruitment, Coordination & Training * Develop and maintain a robust volunteer program by building relationships with local schools, churches, and community organizations. * Recruit, orient, and train volunteers to work effectively with residents and follow community policies. * Match volunteers' skills and interests to appropriate activities that enrich the lives of both residents and volunteers. * Provide ongoing coaching, supervision, and recognition to volunteers for their contributions. * Encourage resident family members to participate in volunteer activities and community events. * Train team members on how to engage residents in daily activities and encourage spontaneous moments of joy. * Plan and execute regular volunteer appreciation and recognition events. Who You Are * A compassionate, creative leader who believes in the power of purpose, connection, and joy. * Experienced in activity planning or recreation leadership within senior living, healthcare, or hospitality (preferred). * Skilled in organizing events, managing volunteers, and coordinating multi-departmental projects. * A positive communicator who can inspire residents, families, and team members alike. * Energetic, organized, and able to adapt programs to meet diverse abilities and interests. * Comfortable driving residents for outings (valid driver's license required). * Able to lift, bend, and assist residents safely during events and programs. * Must pass background checks and meet all state and company requirements.
