This position is 100% on-site in Watertown, NYSummary: The Human Resource Manager serves as the onsite HR leader of the NY production facility, responsible for employee relations, investigations, recruiting, leave and accommodation management, workers compensation, and supervision of HR staff working alongside Production leadership. Responsibilities: Supervise the HR Assistants, providing clear direction, accountability, and ongoing development Lead all day-to-day HR operations for the facility, including second shift support. Lead employee relations matters and conduct thorough and timely workplace investigations Leads weekly payroll accuracy Responsible for correctly applying current federal & New York State employment laws to hiring, leaves & accommodations, employee relations, discipline, and terminations. Responsible for effective employee onboarding & offboarding Acts as the onsite subject matter expert for employees' needs regarding benefits, leave and policy Partners with the Plant Manager to support hiring needs and ensures timely filling of vacancies; leads supervisors in best practices for interviewing Provides guidance to supervisors on employee-based issues, discipline, and consistent handbook application Manages Workers' Compensation claims, partnering with plant leadership to support return to work efforts Identify process improvements to strengthen HR systems and support HR efficiency taking on projects as assigned Provides Supervisor training and development in cooperation with the Plant Manager Adjusts work schedule as needed to meet business needs Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and exercises sound judgement Skills and Experience: 5 years' experience in Human Resources with at least 1 year in a manager role Manufacturing experience preferred Salary: $72,740 - $100,000 DOEBenefits: Competitive salary and benefits including immediate eligibility in 401K Savings Plan & Match, Medical & Dental/Vision Insurance, weekly Dependent Care Reimbursement, Health & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, on-site Café & Fitness Center and free family fitness memberships.
