As our operations continue to grow, we are expanding our safety team to further strengthen the culture and standards that protect our workforce every day.The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will play a key role in supporting safety and environmental compliance across field operations and project sites. This position works closely with project teams to ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and applicable federal and state regulations, while reinforcing the proactive, practical safety culture that defines our organization.Key Responsibilities Prepare and implement site-specific Health & Safety Plans (HASPs)Conduct daily site inspections, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety auditsParticipate in project mobilizations and site setupMonitor field activities including but not limited to: soil excavation and stabilization, drilling and injection operations, heavy equipment and earthwork, confined space and trenching activities and hazardous material handlingLead and assist with toolbox talks and daily safety briefingsProvide real-time safety coaching to field crews and subcontractorsAssist with compliance related to: Hazardous Waste Management (RCRA), spill prevention and response, air monitoring and exposure monitoring, stormwater and erosion controlsSupport environmental and safety reporting requirementsAssist with incident, near-miss, and injury investigationsTrack corrective actions and follow-up activitiesSupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesQualifications - Required5-10 years of experience in EHS, construction safety, environmental remediation, or industrial safetyBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related fieldKnowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)Ability and willingness to travel to job sites (50-75%)Comfortable working outdoors in active construction and remediation environmentsStrong communication, organization, and documentation skillsValid driver's licenseQualifications - Preferred30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Training40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and Annual 8-hour Refresher TrainingExperience with contaminated site work or hazardous materialsFirst Aid/CPR/AED certificationConstruction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) CertificationWork EnvironmentWork occurs in active construction and office environmentsOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsThis position requires periodic travel (50-75%)Employment Status: Full-time, ExemptLocation: Waterford, NYBase Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per yearBenefitsPerformance Based-Bonus401(k)Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsurancePaid VacationPaid Sick Leave
