Per Diem Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Washington, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for two per diem pharmacists to support a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patient populations. This role offers flexible scheduling to meet client needs across multiple regular dates. Location: Washington, PA (with multiple nationwide locations of the organization) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Start date as needed Responsibilities: Provide expert pharmacy services for patients managing 8-15 medications daily Deliver comprehensive consultation and medication management for chronic and advanced diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis Communicate effectively and compassionately with Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients, many with low literacy levels Utilize clinical knowledge to ensure patient understanding and adherence to complex medication regimens Use Pioneer Rx software to manage prescriptions and patient records efficiently Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania Strong retail and/or specialty pharmacy background, preferably with experience in specialty retail settings Proficient in disease state management and patient consultation, especially for chronic conditions Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills tailored to complex patient needs This position prioritizes patient care over volume, emphasizing thorough medication review and consultation to improve therapeutic outcomes.
