Salary: $17.00 Hourly Location : Waseca Job Type: Seasonal Part-time Job Number: 202600004 Department: Recreation Opening Date: 02/03/2026 Closing Date: Continuous FLSA: Non-Exempt Description POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant Water Park Supervisor works under the general supervision of the Water Park Manager. This position supervises the Lifeguards and Guest Services seasonal staff at the Water Park. In addition to supervising, the Assistant Water Park Supervisor works alongside the other seasonal staff, participating in the work required for daily operations. Examples of Duties JOB DUTIES OR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Provide excellent customer service for patrons. This includes greeting guests, assisting with concessions orders, assisting with admissions, providing correct and courteous answers to questions, and assisting with scheduling private events. Supervise Lifeguards and Guest Services seasonal staff according to established policies and guidelines. This includes assisting with certification training, in-service training, staff meetings, and maintaining open lines of communication with management. This position also supervises programs and instructional classes at the Water Park. Work collaboratively to accomplish efficient and effective operations at the Water Park. Cooperatively assists the Human Resources (HR) Department with establishing and implementing all HR and safety policies and guidelines and supervises and assists seasonal staff in complying with HR requirements. Cooperatively assists the Finance Department with establishing and implementing all Finance Department policies and guidelines and supervises and assists seasonal staff in complying with financial requirements. Assist in training Lifeguards and Guest Services in facility policies and procedures. Attend a minimum of 4 hours of lifeguard in-services. Per American Red Cross requirements. Fill in for the Water Aerobics Instructor when absent. Ensure all staff rules, regulations, and safety practices are properly enforced. Ensure that admissions transactions are efficient and that only those guests with punch cards, paid admissions, or seasonal memberships enter the Water Park, and that the appropriate type and number of admissions are sold. Ensure that all cash received is well accounted for and safely stored. Prepare nightly deposits. Oversee concessions transactions, making sure they are efficient, and employees are following proper sanitation and food safety guidelines when preparing food. Manage concessions inventory. This includes keeping track of inventory levels, completing a weekly inventory count, reporting damaged items, restocking food and supplies before each shift, communicating shortages to management, and receiving deliveries. Provide a healthy and sanitary facility for employees and guests by participating in and supervising continual cleaning throughout the day. This includes picking up trash, taking out the garbage, and cleaning the work areas, locker rooms, changing rooms, bathrooms, staff rooms, concession service areas, storage areas, and equipment. Test water according to the required chemical levels and report out to the water park operations team. Ensure guests receive appropriate first aid, complete incident reports, and report all accidents to the Water Park Manager. Enforce all aquatic facility policy, rules, and regulations. Assist with department wide events. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies. Required to cover lifeguard shifts when needed. Complete records and reports in a timely fashion. Maintain fitness level (including swimming skills, strength, and endurance). Complete additional duties as assigned by the Water Park Manager. Keep focus on area of responsibility at all times. Find replacement or substitute guards when necessary. Report concerns to the Water Park Manager and make suggestions for improvement. Typical Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
