SEASONAL FULL-TIME GARDEN ASSOCIATE

This is a temporary, full-time opportunity that requires weekend availability. Blue Seal provides a generous employee discount!This position is designed and intended to be performed in Walpole, NH.POSITION SUMMARY:The Garden Associate role is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service and communication skills as you coordinate with store and warehouse staff to effectively meet customer needs. This position is responsible for the upkeep and restocking of greenhouse inventory as well as keeping all areas clean and maintained. Designing greenhouse merchandise displays and organizing product placement is another primary duty included in this position.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Successfully operate computer POS systemManage cash and credit card transactionsReconcile end of day sales and prepare deposit Greenhouse maintenance including cleaning customer areas, restrooms, breakroom, stockroom, and shelvingMaintain inventory stock in greenhouse including watering and pruning plants, consolidating inventory, and rotating stockDesign merchandise displaysObtain product knowledge through independent researchContribute to the care and handling of live plants and animals within the storeAnswer customer inquiries pertaining to greenhouse productsEffectively communicate with the store and warehouse staff to coordinate timely customer pick-upProvide exceptional customer serviceOther duties as assigned by Store ManagementEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSHave a solid work historyCustomer service skillsAnimal, horticulture and agriculture knowledge helpfulWork independently as well as with othersAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalPosition requires working outside in all weather conditionsPosition requires extended periods of time walking and standing in an outdoor environmentEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
