Lab Technician - ChemicalJob: Lab Technician - ChemicalLocation - WallerPay: $20 - $24/hr DOEHours: Rotating schedule, 4 days on 3 days off, must work every other weekend. Temp to HireThe Lab Technician is responsible for performing quality control and analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This role supports product development and production through accurate testing, data reporting, and lab equipment maintenance while ensuring strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesConducts a wide variety of laboratory procedures and performs challenging, detail-oriented work in a QC/QA lab.Tests products and materials, produces compounds, and records findings.Operates lab equipment, develops new chemical processes, and analyzes data.Performs automated and manual tests strictly according to approved procedures and methodology.Focuses on the quality and integrity of samples in accordance with strict purity guidelines.Utilizes automated analyzers and maintains equipment as appropriate.Maintains a clean, professional, and safe working environment.Abides by all safety procedures and EH&S principles; participates in all assigned training.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related science is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.Experience: 1-3 years of laboratory experience in a chemical, industrial, or quality control setting is preferred.Technical Skills: Experience with laboratory instruments and chemical testing in regulated environments is highly desirable.Certifications: Lab safety, OSHA, or chemical handling certifications are preferred.Core ProficienciesStrong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and protocols.Good understanding of basic chemical principles and lab testing procedures.Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate laboratory records.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and lab data systems.Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results.Physical Requirements & Work ConditionsMust be able to stand for extended periods, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.Working in a lab environment with exposure to various chemicals, fumes, and smells (some hazardous).Must be able to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).Lab Technician - ChemicalJob: Lab Technician - ChemicalLocation - WallerPay: $20 - $24/hr DOEHours: Rotating schedule, 4 days on 3days off, must work every other weekend.
