Human Resources Generalist The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to support and help drive the People Initiative of the company. This role will be a champion of and key player in ensuring our core values are consistently aligned. Duties & Responsibilities Recruits, pre-screens, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Assists in developing and implementing onboarding and orientation programs including pre-employment requirements. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, and Employee Engagement. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Administers FMLA process, tracks usage, and maintains recordkeeping for compliance and attendance system. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Plays a key role in employee engagement initiatives; planning, reviewing, implementing, and sustaining. Assist HR Manager in maintaining performance management system. Be the owner of attendance policy involving tracking all attendance occurrences with accuracy. Working closely with leaders on attendance issues. Lead the change of creating a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion through initiatives and buy-in from leadership. Perform additional duties as assigned. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams. Knowledge & Experience 2+ years experience in a manufacturing human resource environment. HRIS experience, preferably Paylocity. Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
