Summary: Our award-winning client is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team.The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of product quality at the Waco, TX paper manufacturing facility. This role champions customer satisfaction by proactively addressing concerns, conducting thorough investigations into customer claims, and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all quality-related activities at the Waco, TX plant. Conduct prompt and thorough investigations into customer claims to minimize impact and prevent recurrence. Represent the plant in customer visits and build strong relationships. Plan and execute product trials, meticulously documenting results and learnings. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of FDA-approved chemicals and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Actively participate in departmental meetings and contribute valuable insights. Develop and implement effective training plans for the quality team. Collaborate closely with the Sales and Corporate Customer Technical Services departments. Oversee the activities of the Technical Lab, ensuring accurate and timely testing and analysis. Foster a strong safety culture and promote a safe work environment for all employees. Required Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years of leadership experience. Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry). Proven experience in the paper or packaging industry is essential. Demonstrated experience working in a laboratory environment. Strong safety awareness and a commitment to workplace safety. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to participate in on-call/weekend duty rotation. In-depth knowledge of printing press runnability. Familiarity with SAP systems. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, driving results and achieving goals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
