Learn more at Scope of the Role The Cash Application Supervisor oversees daily operations of the cash application function within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process for CooperCompanies' North America entities in a Global Business Services (GBS) environment. This role ensures accurate and timely application of customer payments, resolution of unapplied cash, and compliance with company policies. Reporting to the Cash Application Manager, the Supervisor provides leadership and guidance to a team of specialists, supports month-end close activities, and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Job Summary The Cash Application Supervisor is responsible for managing the operational execution of cash application activities, including payment posting, reconciliation, and exception handling within a Global Business Services environment. This position ensures adherence to internal controls, supports SOX compliance, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with GBS principles. Success requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesTeam Supervision: Supervise, and mentor A/R specialists, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Cash Posting & Reconciliation: Oversee accurate application of customer payments across multiple ERP systems; resolve unapplied cash and discrepancies promptly. Month-End Close: Support reconciliations and reporting for cash application activities; ensure deadlines are met. Reporting & KPIs: Monitor cash application accuracy and timeliness; provide insights to the Cash Application Manager. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve efficiency within Cash Application processes, leveraging GBS best practices. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Cash Application Manager. Key Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced Global Business Services environment. Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or Business-related field (or equivalent experience preferred). Minimum 3 years of AR/cash application experience. 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience (preferred). Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics preferred). Understanding of O2C processes and best practices within a GBS environment. For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $62,353.00 and $73,361.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
