JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for deploying DMAIC and DFR2 (Design for Reliability and Robustness) Six Sigma methodology throughout the company to drive business results and a continuous improvement culture. This role will ensure proper support is provided to critical business objectives by leveraging available resources and deploying best practices to support growth, improve customer loyalty through improved quality and lead time, increase profitability and improve efficiency. You will be responsible for maintaining quality system and regulatory compliance for these activities. ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES: * Supports deployment of Quality, New Product Development and Operations strategy through effective utilization of Black Belt and Green Belt resources where needed. * Works with executive and site leadership to select and prioritize projects to ensure work aligns with strategic goals. * Leads, runs and supports strategic Black Belt projects across all sites. * Mentors, facilitates, and coaches Black and Green Belt certifications. * Prepares Black and Green Belts for certification and submits approval certifications. * Provides and leads internal Six Sigma trainings as needed. * Monitors all Black and Green Belt projects. Reviews the status and search for new improvement opportunities. * Works with Midmark's Reliability and Analytics Manager to ensure DMAIC and DFR2 training efforts are in line with corporate deployment initiatives and strategy. SECONDARY DUTIES: * Provides, leads and/or supports external Six Sigma trainings as needed. * Defines/approves and supports key BU/PI Team/Product Quality Council improvement/New Product Development projects. * Assists in advancing reliability efforts. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience (10+ years) in both manufacturing and business environments. 8+ years experience leading Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects, application the associated tools, or quantifiable problem solving. COMPETENCY and/or SKILL: * Certified MBB-Certified or certified BB with the expectations of becoming a certified Master Blackbelt within 12 months. * Strong background of coaching BB towards their certification or coaching people in problem solving. * Execution of Continuous Improvement (Lean) tools. * Proven team leadership skills and ability to influence others at all levels of an organization. * Extensive experience in DOE, Hypothesis Test, ANOVA, Regression, Measurement System Analysis, Gauge R&R, Statistical Process Control / Process Capability, Process Control Plan, Lessons Learned. * Strong character capable to deal with all aspects of change management and stakeholder analyses. * Excellent root cause analysis problem solving skills (DMAIC, DFR2, 8D, A3, 3 Legged 5 Why, FMEA). * Fluent written and spoken English matched with excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Proficient in Minitab, Excel and have intermediate skills with R and R Studio (or willingness to learn).
