Our therapists provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children and their families, including assessingtreatment needs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, and determining discharge criteria in anoutpatient setting. Therapists are responsible for completing and maintaining required intake forms,documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates, and maintaining outcome measures for theeffectiveness of treatment.Tykes & Teens is a CE-Broker supported organization and we provide over 12 hours of continued educationper year in addition to weekly staffing to support your clinical growth. We also provide free clinical supervisiontoward licensure.Program Logistics:Mental Health Services ages birth to 5 Primary caregivers are essential in shaping young children's Mental Health, Serving Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River CountiesServices are typically rendered in natural settings (home, school).Like all other forms of MH/Counseling services, they are rendered in a therapeutic space/HIPAA-CompliantOur staff are trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, an evidence based model that supports young children and their primary caregiver in processing and healing from traumatic experiences, including but not limited toDomestic violence, separation from a parent, witnessing substance use of a parent, death of a parentLong-term Goals of the Program:Increase social-emotional developmentIncrease positive attachment patterns between parent and childIncrease parents' sense of "efficacy" as a parentSupport healing from trauma and other adverse experiencesReduce challenging behaviors in all settingsReduce Dependency Involvement or re-involvementUse evidence-based therapeutic practices to ensure highest quality of care The experience you will bring:Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, oranotherapplicable human services degree.Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required.A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance is required.An ability to work in a team environment.Licensed or registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491- and two years of experience inworking with children and families.
