Position Type: Substitute/Substitute Door Monitor Date Posted: 9/29/2025 Location: Vernon Township School District Date Available: 10/20/2025 SUBSTIUTE DOOR MONITOR REPORTS TO: Principal QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; valid New Jersey driver's license Minimum experience as determined by the board Knowledge of security measures, fire prevention, and crowd control First aid and CPR training preferred Experience in two-way portable radio communication preferred Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status JOB GOAL: To provide security and protection for pupils, staff, and school property. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor the front door and cameras at the school during peak arrival and departure times. Operate and maintain the visitor management system Sign in and out students and visitors Move small desks to provide a platform for sign in or sign out of student arrival and/or dismissal. Receive and carry parcel deliveries to the main office. Receive and carry ski club equipment within the entry area and storage location. A basic working knowledge of Windows based computer operating systems Performs related duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $15.13/hr. - as needed
