Per Diem Pharmacist in Vermillion, SD

A pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide expert medication distribution and exceptional customer service in a retail and long-term care setting. This role involves accurately dispensing prescriptions and offering guidance to patients on the proper use of their medications, ensuring safe and effective treatment outcomes. Location: Yankton, South Dakota Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Specific dates include Friday, March 20th, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and Friday, April 24th through Friday, May 1st, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities: Distribute medications as prescribed by physicians and other authorized health practitioners Educate patients and customers regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and safety precautions Deliver a superior level of customer service focused on patient care and satisfaction Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards Qualifications: Valid South Dakota Pharmacist license required Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred Strong communication skills and attention to detail Commitment to ethical pharmacy practices and patient confidentiality This per diem position offers flexibility for pharmacists available to support on selected dates with the option for additional assignments.
