Position Overview: The Dialysis Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This role involves patient assessment, education, dialysis machine setup and operation, and monitoring patients throughout treatment sessions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. Pay: up to $55/hour + Overtime Opportunities Job Type: Per-Diem, Temporary (Agency Assignment) Schedule: Per-Diem with every other weekend required Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care Assignment Length: Ongoing, stable placement Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatment. Monitor and document patient vital signs and response to treatment. Set up and operate dialysis equipment safely and efficiently. Administer medications as prescribed and per protocols. Provide patient and family education regarding dialysis and home care. Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR). Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements: Current and valid New York State RN license Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work every other weekend Strong clinical and communication skills Eligible to work in the U.S. and pass background screenings Preferred: At least 1 year of nursing experience in acute, chronic, or outpatient dialysis.
