Job Details: Responsibilities: * Makes regular stops at various offices, patient units, hospital divisions and designated areas for pickup and delivery of mail, lab specimens, x-rays, medical charts and medications, and receives incoming patient mail * Reviews and separates mail for delivery * Delivers mail and items to correct locations throughout hospital and outside locations in a timely manner * Transports patients to and from patient units for tests, procedures and therapeutic activities * Assists patients to and from hospital bed * Answers department telephone, provides information, refers telephone calls to appropriate staff members * Distributes and completes forms required for patient transport and mail services * Monitors and documents deliveries * Drives delivery vehicles as needed for special deliveries Qualifications/Requirements: Experience: Minimum one year working as a courier, preferably six months in a hospital setting.
