Med-Surg/Tele - Float (Day Shift) Location: Utica, NY 13502 Duration: 13 week Shift: 12-hr. Days Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekly Pay: $2,088 - $2,232; (Negotiable based on experience) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Med Surg/Telemetry Float role at a reputable hospital in Utica, NY. As a Float RN, you will be required to work across multiple units within the Med Surg and Telemetry departments, providing high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care to patients on various Med Surg and Telemetry units. Monitor and assess patients' conditions, vital signs, and telemetry readings. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per facility and physician protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans. Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and effectively. Document all patient interactions, medications, and care provided using Epic EMR. Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and team dynamics. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff. Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Requirements: Active NY license - Must be in hand - Required Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing - Required BLS certification - Required ACLS certification - Required NIH Stroke Scale certification - Required EMR: Experience with Epic required Must be comfortable floating between units as needed Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Additional Info: Will accept local candidates.
