Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Monitor medication orders for accuracy, potential allergies, and drug interactions. Prepare intravenous admixtures using established formulas and protocols. Respond to inquiries from healthcare staff and patients with clear, accurate information. Collaborate effectively with colleagues while also managing independent tasks. Uphold strict patient confidentiality at all times. Qualifications: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy. Valid pharmacist license in the state of Michigan. Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred, or a strong willingness to gain hospital pharmacy skills. Additional Role Details: Approximately 70% time dedicated to retail pharmacy operations and 30% to hospital inpatient pharmacy. Utilizes Pioneer RX software for retail pharmacy and CPSI for hospital pharmacy, transitioning to EPIC software in November. Handles a prescription volume of about 250 daily, including servicing adult foster care and local long-term care facility prescriptions. Location: Position based in a community setting where the retail and hospital pharmacy locations are a block apart for convenience.
