JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Tyrone/Huntingdon, PA • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: April 20, 2026 - Ongoing (6 months) • Clinical Shift Schedule: 2-3 shifts per week; - Tyrone Monday-Friday 6:45 AM - 3:30 PM - Huntingdon Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM COVERAGE DATES • Immediate shifts available: April 20-23 • Ongoing PRN coverage; 2-3 shifts per week PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults with occasional pediatric ENT cases (pediatric anesthesiologist available) • Patient Volume/Census: Less than 20 patients per day • Case Mix: Orthopedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, endoscopy, GYN, plastic surgery FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 25 beds (Tyrone); 71 beds (Huntingdon) • Trauma Level: Critical Access (Tyrone) • EMR System: Cerner • Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiologist support at Huntingdon; Tyrone is primarily solo practice • Support Staff Available: Surgical and perioperative staff • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (1-2 weeks with clean file) • Credentialing Timeline: Expedited (1-2 weeks for temps) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Airfare, rental car, and lodging covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General anesthesia • Regional anesthesia (spinals, peripheral nerve blocks preferred) • Airway management J OB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active PA license required • Board: NBCRNA certification required • DEA: Not Required • Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Experience: Minimum 2 years or at least 1 year independent practice • Other Qualifications: Comfortable working independently in solo setting DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide anesthesia services across two hospital locations • Perform general and regional anesthesia techniques • Work independently or alongside anesthesiologist depending on site • Collaborate with surgical teams and staff • Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
