Title of Job: Staff Pharmacist Location: Tyler, TX CSI Companies is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for our Fortune 100 healthcare client in Tyler, TX (near the intersection of Rhones Quarter Rd and Shiloh Rd). Job Summary The Staff Pharmacist is primarily responsible for supporting the execution of pharmacy management's goals by overseeing daily dispensing operations and ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient medication distribution. This role provides routine and emergency pharmacist coverage, verifies prescriptions and sterile preparations, supervises pharmacy workflow and production staff, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, DEA, and third-party payer requirements. Pay : $47 - 62 an hour based on experience (overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate). Hours: Full Time: 5 days per week Combination schedule of: Four 7.5?hour shifts, Monday-Friday One 10?hour shift, Saturday or Sunday per week Work scheduled within pharmacist operating hours of: Monday-Friday : 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM Saturday & Sunday : 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Weekend rotation: Every other weekend No holidays required No overtime Why this Opportunity? Effective Date / Tentative Start Date: Interviewing Immediately Job Duties: Execute day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, production targets, and operational deadlines are consistently met Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA policies and procedures and third-party payer contract requirements Supervise pharmacy production staff to support accurate order entry, efficient workflow, pharmacy security, and adherence to delivery schedules Review and verify new and refill prescriptions for completeness and accuracy, including medication packaging and labeling Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of sterile IV medications and solutions in accordance with established standards and protocols Assist with the ordering, receiving, handling, documentation, storage, and perpetual inventory management of controlled substances, including Schedule II medications Requirements Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy Demonstrated proficiency in clinical interpretation, including drug-drug, drug-disease, and drug-food interactions, as well as allergy screening Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, staff, and healthcare partners Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Proven ability to accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications in a fast-paced environment Highly Preferred Large corporation experience Health plan / managed care / healthcare industry experience WHO SHOULD APPLY?
