Job Description:
This role is essential to cardiac catheterization procedures, focusing on preparing the cath lab, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring detailed documentation and patient safety throughout each procedure. Candidates must have electrophysiology (EP) experience to effectively support the specialized needs of this dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment including fluoro imaging, IVUS, ICE, and hemodynamic systems. Ensure accurate entry of patient information and detailed documentation for all procedures. Maintain strict aseptic technique and act as radiation safety representative during X-ray use. Collaborate closely with physicians and the cath lab team to optimize patient care and procedural efficiency. Monitor and ensure operational readiness of equipment; participate in daily room checks and supply stocking. Support patient transport and access site management as needed. Engage in continuous learning to maintain proficiency in specialized cath lab technologies. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or healthcare-related associate degree; bachelor's degree preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (AHA) required. Certification in one or more of the following preferred: RCIS, RCES, RCS, ARRT certifications in Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or related specialties. Texas state licensure (MRT or LMRT) as applicable. 0-1 year acute care experience preferred. Mandatory electrophysiology (EP) experience.
