Job Description:
Takeoff Specialist needed ASAP!Pay range is $18-$20 DOEPrimary ResponsibilitiesEvaluate bid opportunities received from general contractors, municipalities, lead platforms, and other issuing entities.Review blueprints, architectural plans, elevations, and bid documentation to determine signage requirements.Conduct takeoffs to identify sizes, materials, quantities, and scope for interior and exterior signage.Verify dimensions and measurements outlined in project plans.Prepare and submit complete, accurate bid requests to the internal estimating team.Review and respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information).Interpret all requirements, criteria, and specifications within bid documents.Create precise proposals aligned with project details and customer expectations.Ensure all bids are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.Maintain communication with GC estimators, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the bid process.Track and document bid submissions, outcomes, and follow?up actions.Address inquiries related to bids and provide clarification as needed.Build trust and foster strong working relationships with general contractors and other bidding entities.Support the development of competitive strategies to secure awarded projects.Enhanced ResponsibilitiesPrioritize and manage multiple bid deadlines simultaneously, ensuring all required information is gathered and submitted with urgency and precision.Monitor and track all upcoming deadlines, proactively communicating risks, missing information, or schedule conflicts.Identify unclear, conflicting, or incomplete plan details and flag potential cost risks or scope gaps before bids are submitted.Request clarifications from general contractors when plans or specifications present inconsistencies that could impact pricing.Maintain a high level of focus and accuracy under time?sensitive, high?pressure conditions-especially during peak bid cycles.Review addenda, revisions, and updated plan sets to ensure all changes are captured in the takeoff and bid request.Organize and maintain digital files, plan sets, and bid documentation for efficient workflow and quick retrieval.Collaborate closely with the estimating team to provide complete, well?organized takeoff packages.Communicate proactively with general contractors regarding bid status, missing documents, or required clarifications.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues in bid documents and recommending process enhancements.Qualifications & ExperienceExceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple bid opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.Comfortable working under tight timelines and shifting priorities.Strong problem?solving skills and analytical thinking.Technical or construction knowledge preferred but not required.Candidate Requirements:Exceptional organizational skills.Strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Capacity to manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.Comfort working under tight deadlines.Outstanding problem-solving capabilities.Technical/construction knowledge (preferred but not mandatory).About the role: A detail?oriented Takeoff Specialist is needed to support other estimating and project development process.
