Human Resources DirectorLocation: Turlock, CA Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annuallyAbout the OpportunityA well-established organization in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead its HR function across a large, operational workforce.This is a key leadership role supporting approximately 300 to 400 employees, including a significant driver population. The organization operates in a highly regulated environment, making this an ideal opportunity for an HR leader who thrives in compliance-driven, fast-paced industries.Position OverviewThe Human Resources Director will serve as the senior HR leader, overseeing all aspects of human resources operations including recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, payroll and benefits oversight, and HR systems.This role will lead a small HR team and partner closely with safety and operations leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and Department of Transportation regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the HR team, including direct supervision of staffProvide strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of HR operationsOversee recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning for both driver and corporate populationsEnsure compliance with federal, California, and DOT regulationsManage employee relations, investigations, and performance managementOversee payroll, benefits, and compensation strategyPartner with safety leadership on compliance and training initiativesManage HR systems, reporting, and department budgetQualifications5+ years of progressive HR leadership experienceExperience in transportation, logistics, or other regulated industries preferredStrong knowledge of California employment law and DOT complianceExperience leading HR teams and supporting large employee populationsBachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferredEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding nondiscrimination.
