We are currently looking for a Full Time CHC Operations Manager to join our Chickasaw Heritage Center Operations team located at the Homeland Affairs working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.Summary:The Operations Manager will be responsible for all primary functions within the Exhibit Center as well as the main point-of-contact with all other areas within the Chickasaw Heritage Center (CHC). The Operations Manager will work to ensure that all tours and visitors are accommodated and have an enjoyable experience. The Operations Manager will take a lead role in ensuring customer service excellence is maintained at all times, using existing customer service practices as well as creating and implementing new customer service practices and standard operating procedures. The Operations Manager will ensure thematic programming is culturally appropriate and suitable for all audiences. The Operations Manager will work directly with other area Managers and Leads to ensure that all tours and visits are well-planned and coordinated together throughout the Chickasaw Heritage Center.Responsibilities:* Ensure quality service is being offered and maintained to enhance the visitor experience* Monitor the overall operation of the CHC Operations staff * Assist the CHC Director with the hiring of employees * Develop lead staff by directing meetings, providing assessments, and reviewing staff performance regarding guests* Oversee the development and coordination of all job-specific training and ongoing education programs for staff* Ensure that all Operations staff are knowledgeable of Chickasaw history and culture * Develop and implement training programs to ensure ongoing customer service excellence throughout the campus* Coordinate daily operations by reviewing events with staff, reviewing and planning for special programs, and discussing needs to ensure all areas are appropriately staffed and prepared for events and tours * Maintain an updated schedule of tours, communication with tour group leaders, oversee logistics, and perform follow up of all CHC tours* Assist any special interest groups in order to provide a unique on-site experience that meets or exceeds the group's expectations* Handle visitor concerns, comments, and complaints effectively and efficiently* Relate visitors' concerns about pricing, experience, and exhibits, as needed, to the CHC Director * Maintain accurate records of CHC number of visitors on a weekly basis * Work closely with security to ensure high standards of visitor safety * Oversee the care and maintenance of theater equipment* Maintain yearly film contracts with the assistance of the Chickasaw Nation legal department * Attend and support public programs and events when requested * Work closely with the Director and Administrative team to plan, prepare for, advertise, and facilitate public programs * Work with the Director and marketing groups to present pertinent visitor information on the website* Review and recommend updates to printed and electronic materials including informational brochures, signage, and handouts * Recommend policy and procedure changes based on visitor feedback* Deliver historical and accurate information to visitors of the CHC * Familiarize patrons with the Chickasaw culture and traditions* Provide guidance to groups of all ages through the CHC * Act as an informal Ambassador for the CHC* Serve as a resource person to visitors of the CHC * Assist with checking in large tour groups* Ensure proper training of staff is conducted as needed* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including senior level leaders/executives* Ability to be a team member that works well with others* Knowledge of Chickasaw history and culture* Knowledge in theater equipment to include but not limited to projectors, audio systems, camera equipment, and lighting equipment* Excellent leadership and communication skills* Ability to multitask* Excellent project management skills Skills:Essential:* Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of productsExperience:Essential:* 5 years directly related management experience* 5 years directly related experienceEducation:Essential:* High School, GED or EquivalentNonessential:* Bachelors Degree in directly related fieldCredentials:Essential:* CN Core Leadership Level 1* Pass general background check* Standard Driver's LicenseWorking Conditions:Essential:* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 25 lbs* Must be flexible with work schedule* Mix of office/non-office settings* Pass pre-employment drug testTraining *It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
