Retail Customer Service Associate

OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Retail Customer Service Associate dedicated to delivering an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. Your friendly personality, respectful engagement with team members, and adherence to our best practices will contribute to a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere in our store. You'll have the opportunity to perform a range of tasks across various store areas, adapting to meet the business's needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors in all tasks. Maintain awareness of the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment; report or correct any unsafe conditions. Show respect and courtesy to all customers and associates; utilize company recognition programs. Assist customers with their needs, including receiving register training and providing knowledgeable answers to inquiries. Respond promptly to customer service inquiries; resolve issues courteously while involving store leadership when necessary. Uphold and support the Company brand in all interactions. Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining restrooms to keep the store tidy. Adhere to the company dress code while maintaining a professional appearance at all times. Organize merchandise efficiently and expediently to maintain presentation standards and facilitate customer assistance. Understand and apply loss prevention strategies to protect store assets. Follow cash handling procedures accurately and responsibly. Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in all job functions to maximize productivity. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills with a friendly and respectful approach towards customers and teammates. Mathematical proficiency for basic calculations common in retail. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to use store equipment, including registers and PCs. Spend the majority of working hours standing and moving throughout the store. Regularly perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, lifting over 25 pounds, and using janitorial equipment. Stockroom roles may require lifting more than 20 pounds.
