OVERVIEW The Academic Analyst assists in the coordination of academic institutional research, reporting, and data analytics efforts; supports program evaluation and operational assessment by providing academic data reporting; and ensures integrity in reporting institutional data to the Federal government and various surveys and ranking services. RESPONSIBILITIES * Work closely with the Assistant to the Provost for Academic Excellence and Institutional Effectiveness to produce regular data reports. * Analyze various data sets to compile periodic reports and publications. * Assist with national IPEDS survey administration and with external surveys from third-party constituents. * Support academic data analysis and reporting. * Ensure integrity with academic data compliance requirements. * Assist in the coordination and facilitation of the program review data. * Prepare statistical reports and data used in response to internal and external requests. * Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (with preference given to Data Science degrees); requires knowledge of data analysis using SQL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Experience in working with dataset administration. * Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effectively presenting and articulating data to leadership. * Works collaboratively with individuals possessing varying technical and research backgrounds. * Prioritizes accurate data reporting. * Manages multiple projects concurrently and works collaboratively and/or independently toward project completion. * Establishes and maintains effective, collegial working relationships with campus constituents. * Manages a high level of confidentiality of information. * Has the ability to engage effectively with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. * Maintains compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
