Job DescriptionRegistered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Full TimePay Range: $48.80 $68.31 per hourShift: ( 8:00am - 4:30pm)Bonuses: Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (3+ years wound Care RN experience)Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Charge Nurse (RN) to lead clinical operations within our Wound Care Center. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination, leadership, and delivery of high-quality wound care services, while ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.The Charge Nurse plays a key leadership role by supervising staff, managing clinical workflows, supporting program development, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, clinical expertise in wound care, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.Patient PopulationAdult and geriatric patientsPatients requiring specialized wound care and treatmentInteraction with physicians, staff, vendors, and the general publicKey Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsClinical Care & Patient ManagementProvide comprehensive wound care assessments and treatments in accordance with established protocolsDeliver patient-centered care including treatment planning, procedures, and education for patients and caregiversPerform and support Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) patient assessments and chamber operations (as required)Monitor and evaluate healing outcomes and patient progressLeadership & Staff SupervisionProvide direct supervision and coordination of clinical staff (RNs, LVNs, and support staff)Assign and prioritize workloads based on patient acuity and clinic needsSupport staff through training, mentorship, and performance feedbackAssist with onboarding and orientation of new team membersCare Coordination & CollaborationCollaborate with Wound Care Physicians, Medical Director, and Program Director to ensure quality care deliveryCoordinate patient care across interdisciplinary teams and external providersAct as a key point of communication for clinical and operational needs within the departmentQuality Improvement & ComplianceEnsure adherence to HIPAA, Joint Commission (TJC), CDPH, and hospital policiesParticipate in and help lead Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencyMonitor and support achievement of Wound Care Center quality metrics and outcomesProgram & Operational SupportAssist leadership in managing program goals, workflows, and clinical operationsSupport budgetary and financial objectives in collaboration with leadershipEnsure clinic readiness including equipment, supplies, and workflow efficiencyProfessional Practice & AccountabilityMaintain accountability for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and team performanceDemonstrate adherence to AIDET communication standardsUphold ethical practice and report any compliance or conduct concernsParticipate in emergency response and disaster support, as requiredQualificationsEducation & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care (Required)Previous supervisory or leadership experience (Required)Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred)Experience in wound care or outpatient clinical settings (Preferred)Licensure & CertificationsActive California Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)BLS Certification (Required)National certification in wound care or related field (Required within 90 days of hire, as approved by leadership)Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, delegation, and team management skillsAdvanced knowledge of wound care treatments and protocolsAbility to manage clinical operations and workflow efficiencyExcellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based systemsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsModerate activity level:Standing: 40%Walking: 50%Sitting: 10%Frequent use of hands and arms for clinical procedures and documentationMay be exposed to medical and cleaning chemicals ( 5%)Work environment includes moderate noise levels (clinic setting)WellTech Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
