Role DescriptionJohn King Chains Ltd. is seeking a full-time Welder for an on-site position based in Trussville, AL. The Welder will be responsible for performing various welding processes to fabricate and repair metal components. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, selecting appropriate welding techniques, preparing welding materials, and ensuring precision and quality. The Welder will also inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure safety and efficiency standards are met.Day shift hours: Mon-THurs 7:00-4:00, Fri 7:00-2:00QualificationsExperience with general Welding techniques and practicesKnowledge of materials such as metals and alloys used in construction and repairStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsBasic understanding of safety protocols and proper handling of welding equipmentPhysical ability to work in various environments, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materialsWelding certifications (e.g., AWS or equivalent) are highly desirablePrevious experience in industrial manufacturing or a similar field is a plus
